To launch Prime Video’s year-long brand campaign celebrating women on International Women’s Day, I led my creative team in developing a campaign designed to challenge the conventions of traditional female empowerment marketing. Rather celebrating one idealized version of womanhood, our strategy embraced a simple truth: equity means women can be exactly who they are. This insight became the foundation for the campaign platform and evolved into a messaging framework around “Breaking the Roles” typically assigned to women.
This idea was brought to life through a hero AV spot, digital and social content, a curated on-platform playlist, and a large-scale Times Square takeover. Featuring talent from across the Prime Video ecosystem, the campaign celebrated authentic, multidimensional portrayals that challenged familiar female stereotypes.
